Dr. Andrea Witter, DSW, LCSW
Andrea is the owner and operator of Balanced Mind Clinical Services, PLLC, as well as a psychotherapist. Andrea received her education at St. John Fisher University in 2013, where she graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Education and Psychology. In 2017, Andrea graduated from Robert's Wesleyan University, where she pursued her Master's degree in Social Work, with a focus on children and family. Andrea completed her educational pursuits in May of 2023, by graduating with her Doctorate of Social Welfare and Social Work.
Andrea works with children, families, and young adults, providing services to individuals that are experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma responses. In addition, Andrea has spent the majority of her educational pursuits exploring disruptive behaviors in children, and how to support parents and families in addressing these behaviors through parent behavior management therapy.
With the assistance of her five year old Golden Retriever, Loki, Andrea works to create a supportive environment through establishing a collaborative approach to therapy and ensuring that a safe space is provided to explore the struggles that are identified by the client. It is important, and essential for "good work" to be achieved, that the journey is that of a continued partnership between the client, the family (if applicable) and the therapist, when working with Andrea.
