Amanda Parsons, LMSW
Hi there! I value working with clients across the lifespan, from adolescence into older adulthood. I work with individuals, couples, and families.
At the core of my practice is the belief in person centered care. Therapy is not one size fits all. We will work together collaboratively to identify challenges, goals, and coping skills. My goal is to validate my client’s feelings and empower them to utilize the strengths they already have. I believe in thinking outside the box and finding what works best for each individual client.
In 2020 I returned to school to pursue my BSW from Roberts Wesleyan University, followed by my MSW from the University at Buffalo. I also hold my CASAC-T (Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor). I have served clients in the substance use and recovery field and those struggling with grief and trauma. I am a mentor through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, a registered yoga teacher and certified mindfulness teacher.
Amanda accepts Excellus Commercial Plans and private pay services.
